a snowy day

today is another snowy here in the northeast—all the grey and ice and slush gets me thinking of tropical colors. my favorite is turquoise and i have made quite a few pieces using this fabulous hue. to me it is life affirming and just kinda wakes up my senses, bringing to mind  warmth, tropical waters and  sunny days.

this got me thinking on the mystical powers of the semi-precious stones i have been using, so did a little googling. turquoise is an awesome stone!

Turquoise is a truth stone, it symbolizes a time to be honest with yourself. Much will be gained when you become still, and see yourself as you truly are. calm should be  prized and appreciated. This stone is a reminder to share your vision and WALK your TALK! The truth is very motivating to those ready to hear it. By doing so, you make it okay for them to believe and follow.

This gem stone is a stone of self-realization helping you to better understand yourself, your ideas and emotions. It is a wonderful aid in regards to any type of analytical thinking. Aligns all chakras, creating a clear channel for the nurturing and creative energy of this sacred stone. be aware when you wear turquoise of the power in you! Wear it and enjoy!

I love all the pieces you’ve created! I think they capture the spirit of your feelings, a beautiful snowy day and dreams of springtime…. the aquamarine necklace is my favorite.
It evokes the shinning sun on the white pure snow….
You must be so proud of your accomplishments and I’m sure all your love ones are proud of you… keep it up!
