another snowy day! in between staying warm by wearing layers and snuggling with my puppy, picasso, visions of spring have infiltrated my designs. i have been using a great deal of green and blue stones. accordingly, i call my newest neckpiece “spring fling”- it is made of jade, aquamarine, peridot, chalcedony and opaline glass. just looking at it lightens my winter mood! did you know green is the color of healing, hope and spring?!
following are some of the wondrous powers of the semi-precious stones i used-
properties of jade—-
jade is said to encourage self-realization and help us to recognize ourselves as spiritual beings.
for almost a thousand years, jade has been worshiped and ingested for its life-extending powers, believed to bring the holder a long and fruitful life . we recommend wearing it, not eating it! 😉
regarded as a good luck and prosperity charm for centuries. Helps you to be calm and accept your surroundings for what they are, instilling a sense of detachment to the chaos, and not claiming it for your own. Helps the wearer to sense the truth in all situations.
Helps you remember your dreams, and provides help with dream-solving. said to aid dream recall if placed under your pillow.
Also helps you in bringing your dreams into reality, and in making all things possible.
Said to boost self assurance, self reliance, and self sufficiency.
Eyeglasses were once made from aquamarine. It is said to reduce fears and have an affinity with sensitive and mystical people. Recommended as a purifier of the throat, i also said to clear blocked communication and aid the user in verbal expression. An excellent stone for meditation, it will help attune you to nature -it quiets the mind and reduces stress.
Aquamarine is said to filter out extraneous information to the brain, calm nerves, clarify perceptions, and strengthen the body’s cleansing organs (such as liver, spleen, thyroid, & kidneys). The eyes, jaw, neck, stomach, teeth, and throat are all helped by Aquamarine.
