i have resolutely decided to ignore the snow that is falling, and turn to colored stones for solace. true, the snow is beautiful, especially in my backyard, which is a long stretch of blinding, shimmery white, untouched by man or animal. i am not immune to the beauty of a snowscape, but this is the 6th significant storm this winter. I NEED COLOR!!!!!!!!!
as i sat at my worktable with the beatles playing, my eyes fell on some pink and red stones. what else could i name this necklace, but strawberry fields? it’s made of pink quartz, striped agate, opal, pearls, and amethyst, and looks like summer to me!
so i looked up the powers of amethyst—it is used as a dream stone and to help insomnia. put an amethyst under your pillow to bring about pleasant dreams, or rub it across your forehead to offer relief from a headache.
